Leo season begins! And with the Sun in Leo, we can expect to feel supercharged in the realm of self-expression, vitality, courage, and creation. 

The Sun rules Leo. This means the Sun is extremely comfortable in this sign. Another way of looking at this is that the Sun has full reign to ignite the fire within.

This means that from July 22 when the Sun moves into Leo to August 22 when the Sun moves into Virgo, we'll be asked to explore how our ego and actions are uniquely created to take center stage.

Isis was Sirius (known as Sopdet to the Egyptians, and Sothis to the Greeks). She is the *Great Awakener.

When ancient Egyptians saw Sirius on the horizon, this marked the beginning of the new year.

This was a time of renewal when the overflow of the Nile brought great abundance and fertility to the land.

This is the power and the mythology that comes with the Lion's Gate portal.

July 24 marks Sirius's 2024 helical rising. Based on astronomical calculations, this is the date when Sirius can be seen on the horizon before the Sun rises. It appears as a morning star.

And because of this, I believe this is the proximate moment when the Lion's Gate Portal opens.

Technically, the exact date of Sirius's rise depends on where you are on Earth. We'll use *July 24 as the focal point for the portal opening.

Mercury rules Virgo, so July 25 begins an auspicious trajectory for our ability to use our voice and mind in service of our vision and mission.
